How to make a rainbow umbrella
SPANISH LAUDERDALE, Fla.
— A rainbow umbrella that will make your family laugh and make your parents jealous?
That’s exactly what the umbrella Academy of Light and Shade is hoping to offer to kids in its new school.
The academy is one of a number of new public schools to roll out new technology to help teachers keep tabs on students.
The academy opened its doors in February in Orlando, Fla., but the project has expanded to other communities in the U.S. and abroad.
The umbrella academy has already offered its services in Mexico, China and India.
“Our goal is to have a very inclusive learning environment that includes all students,” said Academy of Lights and Shade president Lillian Lohr, who started her career at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization in Geneva.
“The umbrella academy is trying to change the way we learn, and we think it’s really a great thing to have.”
Students at the Academy of Lighting and Shade attend the first day of classes in the academy’s new building in Spanish Lutz, Germany.
“The umbrella school is not just an academic program.
We also believe that this is the first of many,” Lohn said.
After graduating from the United States, Lohrn spent three years in a nursing program before joining the umbrella academy.
Students are taught about the power of science and technology to build better lives and build positive communities.
The academy’s mission is to empower students and make a difference.
A lot of kids in my family don’t speak English, so I think this is a great way for them to be exposed to the academy,” said 19-year-old sophomore Kelsey Riggs.
I was just really excited that the umbrella was part of our new school, Lillian said.
I hope to have students from all walks of life learn more about what we’re doing and how to do it.
This isn’t just an academy for kids, Lutz said.
The Academy of light and shade is a nonprofit organization.
It is open to all children regardless of their backgrounds, with an emphasis on minority students.
The school is a small but active group that provides the academy with free services, such as tutoring and classes.
In Lutz’s case, she has spent about two months at the academy and has had the opportunity to get to know the academy staff and teachers.
She said she is already planning on making friends.
She said the academy offers free English lessons and summer camps for all students.”
This is a really good opportunity for young people to come into contact with a community, with a group of people who are really interested in learning,” she said.
