Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange services launch in Indonesia
Indonesia has issued a warning to Bitcoin users, urging them to consider the risks associated with using cryptocurrency.
The cryptocurrency exchange platform has now launched in the country, bringing bitcoin, Ethereum and other digital assets to its customers, the Indonesian Securities Authority (BAS) said in a statement on Friday.
The exchange is being launched in Jakarta, Jakarta’s financial district, and will be accessible in English, Chinese and Malay, it added.
It will also offer Indonesian customers who have already purchased bitcoins to exchange them for the digital currency, which is now valued at around $10,000 per unit.
